Dub-Stuy Records and Deadly Dragon Sound are teaming up to present The Roots of Sound System, a Jamaican Independence Day celebration of Ska, Rocksteady, and Early Reggae. The event will feature Tony Screw (Downbeat the Ruler), Tommy Far East, and Jah Wise (Tippatone Sound), a group of selectors whose knowledge of Jamaican Music and collections of original Jamaican 45s are unparalleled.

They will be digging deep into their vaults, playing some of their most vital and rare records through the “Tower of Sound”, Dub-Stuy’s custom-built hi-fidelity sound system – making The Roots of Sound System the first-ever proper Revive Dance to be held in New York City.
